This holiday rental dream of a house is found in a typical Alentejo countryside neighborhood called ‘Vale da Cobra‘ which means ‘Snakes Valley‘. Not because of the occasional little snake you‘ll see sneaking off into the bushes on a hot summer day, but because of the small winding road that runs all through a gently rolling landscape until you reach Casa Serena.
After arriving, a serene calm overtakes you, nature surrounds you and the well integrated architecture of the house welcomes you inside to discover several different corners to relax.
The house has a big entrance hall that leads to an open plan kitchen and dining/living room. A staircase takes you to a mezzanine with a TV and lounge area overlooking the dining/living area.
There are 3 double bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms.
The 4th big room is actually three rooms: two rooms with bunk beds, connected to a playroom and additionally to that you find a big kids bathroom (with bathtub and shower).
Almost every room in this house has its own terrace or outside area, overlooking the pool or the typical Alentejo landscape with its Cork and Pine trees.
Besides all the terraces surrounding the house, there is a big rooftop terrace perfect for yoga practice or a summer evening ‘aperitif’ before lighting the barbecue.
The pool is big (17 m long and heated) and stylish, with a lounge area and a pool bar (not on pictures, because brand new).
Casa Serena is also suitable for winter stays because there is floor-heating all over the house, and a fireplace for extra coziness.

The house is located between Melides and Carvalhal.
After a 10 minutes drive you arrive at the nearest beaches of Aberta Nova and Galé. Within 10 minutes you reach Melides, 15 minutes Carvalhal, 25 minutes Comporta. There is a variety of beaches to choose from, some with luxurious beach restaurants, others with hip snack bars where you can enjoy a cocktail.
